“The Law on real estate trading, which came into being on June 29, 2006, rules that houses and construction work must be traded via a realty trading floor. We expect that our move at this moment would support market development in Ho Chi Minh City and across Viet Nam,” ACBR general director Pham Van Thiet said at the July 25 opening ceremony. Besides serving as a place for realty deals, the trading floor also supplies information and advice on the realty market and investment, suggesting and appraising really prices, doing marketing work and making payments via banks, said Ms. Truong Thi Hong Cam, director of the ACBR trading floor. Mr. Thiet said the trading floor is expected to be a bridge for property developers, buyers, and investors – both Vietnamese and foreigners. He added, “The demand to buy a house in Viet Nam has been always high, and many realty multinational companies and investment funds have started setting up their investment networks in the country.” About 100 housing projects in Ho Chi Minh City and nearby areas are now listed on the trading floor, located at 29 Ter, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, District 1.
