Yahoo has a new search deal with Google. As part of a new Services Agreement that began on Oct. 1 and ends in Dec. 31, 2018, Google will provide Yahoo with search ads through AdSense, web algorithm searches and image search for both desktop and mobile. The announcement was made after Yahoo released its Q3 earnings results Monday. HIGH TECH! DOW, S&P AND NASDAQ SOAR ON TECH EARNINGS “In October, the Company reached an agreement with Google that provides Yahoo with additional flexibility to choose among suppliers of search results and ads,” Yahoo said in its earnings report. “Google’s offerings complement the search services provided by Microsoft, which remains a strong partner, as well as Yahoo’s own search technologies and ad products.” Yahoo mentioned in its regulatory filing that the company will decide which search queries will be sent to Google. The company also mentioned that there will be no minimum of required queries. With the new partnership Yahoo will be able to gain more revenue from its search engine since it doesn’t have the technology to manage its queries and ads.
