A superb second-half display earned Leicester City under-23s their second win of the season at Holmes Park. Raul Uche, Bartosz Kapustka and Layton Ndukwu (2) netted in a 4-1 success over Blackburn on Monday night, Steve Beaglehole’s youngsters producing a performance that would have greatly pleased the watching Claude Puel. The City boss’s eyes were likely on Caglar Soyuncu, the £19million deadline-day signing from Freiburg who made his first appearance in City colours at Holmes Park. The Turkey international was partnered by Alex Pascanu in central defence, with regulars Darnell Johnson and Josh Knight, as well as Filip Benkovic, not involved, possibly ahead of an appearance for the senior side in their Carabao Cup tie against Fleetwood on Tuesday. And Soyuncu was called into action immediately, forced to track back and make a tackle inside his own box, a task he passed with ease.
