A one-of-a-kind homemade pizza oven has been stolen from Cardiff’s celebrated Dusty Knuckle. The mobile wood fired oven is used by Dusty Knuckle Pizza use to cater for food festivals, weddings and other events. Phil Davies, who owns Dusty Knuckle with his wife, Deb, found out the stove was stolen from its storage space on private property in Pontyclun on Tuesday evening. “There’s very little anyone can do with it, it’s very distinctive, no one will be able to use it without being seen,” said Phill. “It is just frustrating that we can’t do much but replace it. We are gutted.” Dusty Knuckle made it into WalesOnline’s best pizzas in Wales list this year. The oven is probably worth about £2,000 but the worry for Phil is the loss may have a knock on effect for upcoming events planned next weekend. “We have a place at the Homeless World Cup in Cardiff next weekend, we have a bike festival at Insole Court in Llandaff and a wedding. “We will hopefully be fine for all three events but it will just mean I will have to spend the next week trying to build a replacement.” This is what Dusty Knuckle Pizza… Read full this story
