The Epic Games Store has been giving away free PC games every week–no strings attached–since the storefront launched in late 2018. As of now, we know the program will run until at least the end of 2020. It’s pretty straightforward; every Thursday at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET, Epic offers one, two, or occasionally even three games completely free of charge. To claim the games, you simply need to register for a free Epic account and enable two-factor authentication, which Epic recently added as a requirement to help users bolster their account security.
