A PRISON officer has admitted having a sexual relationship with a convicted double murderer. Lauren McIntyre, 32, yesterday pleaded guilty to four counts of misconduct in a public office. The mum of three, who has 11-week-old twins, and a five-year-old child, had a fling with prisoner Andrew Roberts at Albany prison on the Isle of Wight. McIntyre, of Ryde in the Isle of Wight, claims she began the affair in a bid to uncover intelligence, but it then spiralled out of control. Roberts was convicted in 2003 of strangling Louise L’Homme and their eight-month-old daughter Tia to death at their home in Rhondda, South Wales. He was 22 years old when he was sentenced to two life terms at Swansea Crown Court and has been serving his time at HMP Isle of Wight’s Albany Prison.GUILTY PLEA Appearing at Isle of Wight Crown Court, McIntyre admitted four counts of wilfully neglecting to perform her duty and wilfully misconducting herself between November and December 2018 in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public’s trust.
