Despite losing his batting partners at the other end, Carey continued to play with positive intent, pinching singles and twos, alongside the occasional boundary. He also found an able ally in Corey Kelly as the duo put on an alliance of 54 for the seventh wicket before Carey fell one short of the three-figure mark.
