Prime land lot abandoned in Ho Chi Minh City

A piece of land at 2-4-6 Hai Ba Trung Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, which is a prime site in the city, has been left deserted for many years, causing huge wastefulness. The 6,080-square-meter land lot is surrounded by four streets: Hai Ba Trung, Thi Sach, Dong Du, and Cong Truong Me Linh. Fences surrounding the land lot have been smeared with paint and graffiti as there is no security guard at the site. The site is overgrown with weeds with some being even taller than people. The sidewalk of Thi Sach Street has been encroached on by an unauthorized parking area and a free toilet for residents and tourists. The prime land lot has an ideal location with a view of the Saigon River. The land lot is involved in a case in which it was turned into an asset of a private firm from a public property. The information board for the project at the site is smeared.
