A teenager's George Floyd -themed dance proposal has sparked outrage and prompted an investigation by school officials in Nevada. A photo captured the female student brandishing a poster that includes a drawing of Floyd in what appears to be a school sports field. The poster says: "If you went to SADIES w/ me it would take my BREATH away." The image sparked outrage after it was shared across social media platforms such as Facebook and TikTok. Foothill High School in Henderson said the school and the Clark County School District had launched an investigation into the proposal for its Sadie Hawkins dance. With healthcare workers having to be on their feet for long periods of time, some shoe companies have decided to lend their support by supporting them literally from the ground up. Crocs is giving out 10,000 free pairs of the rubber footwear a day, and will continue to do so as long as stocks are available. In an Instagram post on Friday (Mar 27), the company said there are "more than 400,000 people in line" and asked for "patience and understanding" as it keeps plugging away. According to CNN , Crocs CEO Andrew Rees talked to healthcare workers over the past week and found out that many in the industry requested specifically for the company’s footwear. “They specifically asked for our shoes in an effort to provide ease on their feet, as well as ease of mind as they need the ability to easily clean up before they go home to their families,” he said.
