The airline started selling tickets from 12pm on January 12, with ticket prices from VNĐ149,000 (US$6.4) each. Customers can book tickets online at www.bambooairways.com or by calling 19001166. Bamboo Airways also offers numerous special promotion package combining air tickets, hotel rooms and rounds of golf thank to the resorts and golf courses of its parent company – FLC Group. First Bamboo Airways aircraft to arrive in Việt Nam next month
FLC Group visits Airbus in Toulouse to check the interior of its new aircraft. — VNS Photo Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI — The first Airbus A321neo aircraft of Bamboo Airways, owned by property developer FLC Group, is expected to arrive in Việt Nam on January 10, 2019. Đặng Tất Thắng, CEO of Bamboo Airways, said this would be one of 10 aircrafts leased to the airline. The aircrafts are equipped with a special interior and outstanding technologies from Airbus – the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer. The new A3210neo aircraft was leased under a contract with GECAS, a member company of General Electric. After receiving a technical check-up, the aircraft will be delivered to GECAS in Hamburg by the end of this month and painted with the colours of the airline’s brand. Bamboo Airways and Petrolimex Aviation signed a memorandum of understanding. — VNS PhotoViet Nam News HÀ NỘI — Bamboo Airways Company Limited, a member of FLC Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for co-operation with the Petrolimex Insurance Company (PJICO) and Petrolimex Aviation Fuel Joint Stock Company. The MoU was signed last week in the central province of Thanh Hóa. Under the terms, Bamboo Airways would give priority to use non-life insurance products of PJICO such as airplane insurance, airline liability insurance, machinery insurance and others as well as aviation fuel of Petrolimex. Meanwhile, the two subsidiaries of Petrolimex would give priorities to use airlines services of Bamboo. Bamboo Airways, a subsidiary of property developer FLC Group, is set to be headquartered at Phu Cat Airport in the south-central coastal province of Binh Dinh, according to Prime Minister’s Decision No. 836, dated July 9. The surging value of the U.S. dollar may be posing the biggest threat to U.S. corporate earnings since the 2008 financial crisis, hurting results at most U.S.-based multinationals. Some on Wall Street are even talking about an earnings recession. The dollar’s gain of 22 percent in the past 12 months against a basket of major currencies has landed a double whammy on U.S. companies with big sales abroad. Revenue and earnings from foreign markets are worth less when translated into greenbacks and their costs become relatively less competitive against rivals producing in countries with declining currencies. Dollar moves of this magnitude in the past have resulted in what Bank of America/Merrill Lynch strategists term an "earnings recession," which is generally defined as at least two successive quarters of declining earnings from the year-earlier quarters.
