SINGAPORE - A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. He had allegedly robbed a store in Bukit Batok Street 52 while armed with a knife. Police were alerted at about 4.25am on Monday (April 19). The man demanded that the victim open the store's cash register, police said. He is also alleged to have taken eight packs of cigarettes before fleeing. But he was caught within two hours following ground inquiries and with the help of close-circuit television images from the store. He will be charged with armed robbery in court on Tuesday. Apple has posted an open casting call ( via Cult of Mac ) for its upcoming original TV show Planet of the Apps , an unscripted program about apps and the people who make them. The show is currently looking for developers from San Francisco, Austin, New York and Los Angeles to participate. Executive producers will.i.am, Ben Silverman, and Howard Owens are teaming up for an unscripted series about the world of apps and the talented people that drive its innovation. They’re looking for developers with the vision to shape the future, solve real problems, and inspire change within our daily lives. “We can really tell their stories as we explore how apps are developed and created and incubated,” says Silverman. A former employee at a FedEx warehouse in Indianapolis shot and killed at least eight people at the facility in Indianapolis late Thursday night and then killed himself, authorities said. Authorities identified the suspect as 19-year-old Brandon Scott Hole of Indiana, according to The Associated Press. Hole is a former employee of the company, a FedEx spokesman confirmed. Paul Keenan, special agent in charge of the FBI's Indianapolis field office, said Friday that agents questioned Hole last year after his mother called police to say that her son might commit "suicide by cop". He said agents questioned Hole based on items found in his bedroom. He didn't elaborate on what those items were. No crime was identified and the FBI said it didn't identify Hole as espousing a racially motivated ideology.
