But the luck and instinct that may guarantee one's success in any field of endeavor simply don't fall from the sky. It could be a make-it-or-break-it move. Kenson, 10, is nothing short of a toy influencer in Hong Kong despite his tender age. "I often come across strangers recognizing me on the street. SINGAPORE: The new set of progressive tax rates introduced in Budget 2013 will see high-end property owners paying more in property taxes. While the tax bill may be higher for the rich in percentage terms, analysts say this may not dampen investor sentiment to buy luxury properties. From January 2014, properties with higher annual values will be taxed at higher rates. With a tax rate of between zero and 15 per cent, there will be a significant gap in the property tax bill between mass and higher-end homes. Still, analysts said most high-end home owners will just take this in stride. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government last month rolled out a further HK$120 billion (US$15.4 billion) relief stimulus package to prop up the pandemic-ravaged economy and lift economic growth by 2 percent. As a result, the budget deficit for the 2021-22 financial year is expected to reach HK$101.6 billion, accounting for 3.6 percent of the city's GDP, due to the countercyclical measures and the continued rise in recurrent expenditure.
