NEW DELHI: Tech giants Apple and Google recently announced their joint effort to allow APIs and operating system level technology which will help in contact tracing using Bluetooth on the phones. The companies also said that they will also release APIs that will allow interoperability between Android and iOS devices using apps from public health authorities. Now Apple has rolled out Beta 3 of iOS 13.5 which consists of the code required to run apps that are built using the exposure notification API. Apart from this, the iOS 13.5 beta update also brings another interesting feature. The update brings face mask detection enabling FaceID to decide if a user is wearing a face mask or not. In case a user is wearing a face mask then it will automatically prompt for a passcode.
