Jaguar Allegedly Turning Into Aston Martin And Bentley Competitor

· February 24, 2021 ·

Jaguar new EVs are going upmarket. Big changes are afoot at Jaguar because the brand intends to sell only EVs by 2025 . In addition, the British brand's next generation of products could take a step higher in the market by competing against the likes of Bentley and Aston Martin, according to Jaguar Land Rover CEO Thierry Bollore in Automotive News Europe . "We will reposition completely the Jaguar brand," Bollore said. "The SUV will be Land Rover. Jaguar will be different from the SUVs. Very distinct." The new brand strategy for Jaguar includes not replacing any of its current models when they reach the end of their production runs. The company will invest £2.5 billion ($3.48 billion at the current exchange rates) into EV tech and to develop a new vehicle architecture for these models. This platform will be exclusive to the Jaguar brand and won't be underneath future Land Rovers. Four-star QB Justyn Martin talks commitment to Cal, potential new suitors

· February 23, 2021 ·

Inglewood (Calif.) quarterback Justyn Martin committed to California last month. Martin was one of the first 2022 offers for the Bears at the quarterback position and was honed in on by offensive coordinator Bill Musgrave. That relationship played a big role in his decision to pick the Bears. "Coach Musgrave's experience is next level," said Martin. "He coached in college and the NFL and every time we talk, we are on the same page.  I know the quarterback room has some good competition and I just see a great opportunity ." Martin went up with his family to the Bay Area just before he popped for the Bears. "I visited Berkeley the day before I committed and it was great," said Martin. "I obviously didn’t get to see everything on campus because of COVID, but I got to see the campus and the facilities from a distance and it was nice and a great school." Martin said he let Musgrave know he was coming and then talked to head coach Justin Wilcox. "I told coach Musgrave … [Read more...] about Four-star QB Justyn Martin talks commitment to Cal, potential new suitors

BWT stays on as Aston Martin F1 team sponsor

· February 24, 2021 ·

The Austrian water treatment company had been replaced as title sponsor at Aston Martin this year, following a successful 2020 campaign with Racing Point that delivered one win with Sergio Perez at the Sakhir Grand Prix. But with Aston Martin taking over the branding of Racing Point for this season and switching to British racing green colours, there was no scope for it to continue with the same deal it had last year. BWT was left evaluating how best to continue its efforts in F1, and it is understood to have looked at other options, including both Williams and Haas. However, in the end it decided against a tie-up with either of those two teams. On Wednesday, the company ended speculation about its F1 plans by announcing that it would be remaining as a partner of Aston Martin. The team confirmed that while the colour of the new Aston Martin will be green, BWT's logos will be present on the car. "While the look and feel of the new team to be launched on Wednesday … [Read more...] about BWT stays on as Aston Martin F1 team sponsor

Bill establishing cyber abuse takedown scheme for adults enters Parliament

· February 24, 2021 ·

A new Online Safety Bill that extends the cyber takedown function to adults and cuts takedown response times in half has made its way into Australian Parliament. As detailed in the Online Safety Bill 2021 , the new scheme, based on the existing cyber bullying scheme for children, provides a mechanism for those experiencing the most seriously harmful online abuse to have this material removed from the internet. It empowers Australia's eSafety Commissioner to order the removal of such material when websites, social media, and other online services fail to do so after a complaint is made. The eSafety Commissioner will have the power to issue takedown notices directly to the services, and also to the end users responsible for the abusive content. "The sharing of intimate images without consent is a terrible thing to do and causes great distress to victims," Communications Minister Paul Fletcher said, introducing the Bill on Wednesday. The Bill also expands the cyberbullying … [Read more...] about Bill establishing cyber abuse takedown scheme for adults enters Parliament

· February 24, 2021 ·

Got your eye on Valheim's Draugr fang bow? Not only does this weapon look stylish, it can down enemies swiftly thanks to its superior pierce damage. This bow also borrows a gross item called guck to give it a poisonous effect, sealing its title as the best bow in Valheim. As you'd expect, any item this good is going to be tricky to craft, so you'll need to collect rare resources such as silver and ancient bark before you can add it to your arsenal. Bows offer more versatility than melee weapons as there are several types of arrows in Valheim.
