Viet Nam News HÀ NỘI - An exhibition entitled Nói trong bóng tối (Speaking in the Dark) by two artists Trương Hồng Ân and Ngô Ngọc Hương will take place at Nhà Sàn Collective, Lương Yên Street, Hai Bà Trưng District on July 24. The exhibition, which introduces the latest works of the artists, explores themes such as belonging, language and memory using their families' history as part of the Vietnamese expat community. Via their video, photographic and arrangement works, they study the way identity is affected by the shifting notions of time. Ân's work raises the questions about the true nature of memory, especially when the language used is often fragmented. She uses photography and cinema to explore the powerlessness of language in the aftermath of mental trauma. Her works have been displayed at the International Center of Photography, Art in General, Smack Mellon, the Kitchen and other art destinations in New York. Ghenh Rang – memories of history and tragedy
A tour to Quy Nhon is not complete without a visit to a national relic - the grave of poet Han Mac Tu in Ghenh Rang Hill. Quy Nhon is a port town which traces its roots back to the last kingdom of Champa people in the tenth century who built the My Son Sanctuary which has been recognized as a world heritage by UNESCO. Quy Nhon City is one of the most beautiful cities in the central region and is endowed with sea, mountains, lagoons and a beautiful bay. Around two kilometers southeast of the center of the city is Ghenh Rang Tien Sa tourist area, a must-see destination for tourists. It has a hill covered by green trees and is striking with a stone cliff directing to the sea at the end section of Xuan Van Mountain 500-1,000 meters above sea level in the Truong Son Mountain Range. French camera captures VN women About 20 colour portraits of Vietnamese women by French photographer Rehahn Croquevielle will be on display at the Phan Dinh Phung Secondary School in Ha Noi on Sunday. Croquevielle has donated the photos as part of the Vietnamese Women's Day celebrations. This is his first exhibition, who travelled through 30 countries and settled in Hoi An two years ago. The photos will be displayed between 9am and 10pm at 67B Cua Bac Street on Sunday.
