BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Maryland restaurant operator recently paid more than $500,000 in back wages, damages and penalties after a federal court judgement found it withheld tips and violated wage agreements. The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland in Baltimore’s investigation recovered a total of $499,258 in back wages and liquidated damages for 62 workers employed by the operator of Mezcal Mexican Restaurant and Bar in Owings Mills and Lutherville, Maryland. BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Brunei said on Sunday (Mar 15) that its citizens and foreign residents in the country are barred from leaving the nation due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The health ministry also said it had confirmed 10 new coronavirus cases, bringing the tally to 50. More than 240 cases in Malaysia have been linked to a religious event at a mosque that was attended by more than 16,000 people from several countries, including those from Brunei. A new bar and restaurant on the former site of Covid-19 casualty The Bresolin will offer patrons a different twist on a Wellington classic, its owners say. After operating The Bresolin for 14 years, brothers Lorenzo and Leonardo Bresolin, sons of local restaurant legend, Il Casino owner Remiro Bresolin, were heartbroken when they were forced to shut up shop for good when the city came out of lockdown . The Yu Group, which owns several eateries, including Wellington hospitality landmark Cafe Astoria, purchased the property in August.
