The standard 911 plug-in hybrid would reportedly sit a step above the base Carrera . The electrification tech would be similar to the new Cayenne E-Hybrid , according to this anonymous source. This means a hybrid module with an electric motor would be between the engine and transmission. The entire Bentley lineup will be electrified in the years to come. The Bentayga is not only Bentley’s first production model to run on diesel, but it will also be the first partially electrified. It will happen in 2018 when the folks from Crewe will introduce this, the Bentayga plug-in hybrid. Spied undergoing testing in Spain, the prototype looked virtually the same as the conventionally powered model, but with one exception: a fuel cap on the rear fender on the SUV’s left side. Eclipsed by the Rolls-Royce Phantom, the current-generation Bentley Mulsanne has been around since 2010, but that doesn’t mean it’s about to be renewed. In fact, a new report originating from the U.K. indicates the flagship model from Crewe will not be introduced this decade, with the rumor mill pointing towards a launch in the early 2020s.
