Germany: Police arrest Croatian man wanted for war crimes

German police arrested a 65-year-old Croatian man after he landed at Frankfurt airport on Thursday morning, the police said on Friday. The police acted on a European-wide arrest warrant issued by Croatia that alleges the man's involvement in war crimes during the breakup of Yugoslavia in the 1990s. The warrant specifically mentioned his involvement in four murders. Police picked up the alleged war criminal after he arrived on a flight from the Serbian capital, Belgrade. They did not name the man or provide any further details. "The man is accused of four counts of joint murder during the Yugoslav civil war," police told German news agency dpa. A spokesperson for the Frankfurt district court told dpa that the court would decide on extradition proceedings in the next few weeks. Police arrest family of 7 who specializes in kidnapping in Ogun

Kindly Share This Story: By James Ogunnaike The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police on Friday paraded a seven man syndicate that specialized in kidnapping in Sagamu area of the state. Parading the suspect in Sagamu, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi said the kidnap syndicate made up of members of the same family. According to Oyeyemi, five of the syndicate, Oweniwe Okpara and three of his children namely; Samson Okpara, Bright Okpara and Eze Okpara as well as one Christian Ishaha and Emmanuel Joseph were arrested in Sagamu, while three others of his children; Godwin Okpara, Godspower Okpara and Mathew Okpara were arrested in Delta State. The father, Okpara was said to have been a farmer on farmland at the Aiyepe-Ijebu road which was being used as the kidnapping ground where the trio of Godwin, Godspower and Mathew, who were the armed squad of the syndicate usually dumped their victims. Indian Police Arrest Man Wandering Town with Daughter’s Severed Head

A man in northern India’s Uttar Pradesh state was arrested Wednesday after locals spotted him walking calmly down a village street with his daughter’s severed head in hand. Sarvesh Kumar, 45, admitted to police he decapitated his 17-year-old daughter with a sword after finding her in “an objectionable” position with her boyfriend on March 3. “This is my daughter’s head. I cut her off. I couldn’t find anything, else I would have killed both of them. I saw her. I have done it with a sharp tool. … Her body is lying in the room,” Kumar is heard saying in a video clip of his initial interrogation by police deployed to the scene on a Pandetara village street. PSL’s ‘most wanted’ gamblers arrested from Karachi

KARACHI: Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s ‘most wanted’ gamblers were arrested during a raid near the city's Khalid Bin Waleed Road on Friday. According to Geo News , the Special Investigation Unit conducted the raid on a tip-off about the presence of three gangs involved in gambling and arrested five suspects. As per details from police, arrested suspects including Waqas alias Vicky, Farhan, Nasir, Muhammad Ali alias Pando and Yasin have reportedly been gambling for years. The police also seized laptops, cell phones, weapons, and drugs from the suspects' possession. Waqas has been gambling through software for the last 14 years, the police said. He is the nephew of notorious gambler Abdul Qadir alias ‘Bhoot’ . The UAE police, according to the report, also raided Abdul Qadir's casino in Dubai during which other bookies were also apprehended. York Region police lay 10 more sex assault charges against Newmarket doctor

York Region police have laid 10 more charges against a Newmarket doctor arrested for sexually assaulting a female patient earlier this year. On Jan. 29, police arrested and charged the doctor after a 37-year-old woman reported that she was assualted at a clinic in the Dixon Medical Centre building on 531 Davis Dr. Nine additional incidents have since been reported, including a sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl and a sexual assault after a victim was injected with strong pain medication, police alleged Friday in a statement. The doctor has worked at the Davis Drive clinic since 2012. In 2011 he worked at another clinic located on Wellington Street in Aurora. Before that, he had a practice in New Glasgow, N.S., from 2007 to 2011.
