Government approves Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho expressway project

The expressway will be built after three years of delay (Photo: vnexpress.net) Hanoi (VNA) - The Government has approved the construction of an expressway connecting the northern provinces of Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) format after three years of delays. The expressway with 40.2km long, including 11km of road will be built in Tuyen Quang province and the rest in Phu Tho province. It will start in Tuyen Quang province's Tuyen Quang city and end at Phu Tho province's Phu Tho township. The expressway will link with the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway. The four-lane road is designed with the speed of 80kph. The project is implemented under the public-private partnership model with a total investment of more than 3.2 trillion VND (138 million USD). The singer and rapper’s latest move, at an NBA game no less, has naturally led to backlash from random people on the internet over the revealing nature of the outfit, with some underlying annoyance aimed at her growing mainstream appeal. On Instagram, Lizzo compared her sartorial choice to Rihanna’s now-iconic see-through Swarovski crystal gown, which also featured a very visible thong that Rihanna similarly flaunted to photographers. Vietnam up to second in medal tally at SEA Games following 98th gold

The Vietnamese beach handball team The Vietnamese beach handball team inflicted a 2-0 (19-16, 20-10) win over their Indonesian rivals, securing the nation’s 98th gold medal of the event. The victory represents the final gold medal of the Vietnamese sporting delegation at this year’s SEA Games. As a result, Vietnam finish the competition ranked second in the medal tally with 98 gold, 85 silver, and 105 bronze medals. Following a successful campaign, the nation finishes on six more gold medals than Thailand in third position. As the event’s host nation, the Philippines top the list with a haul of 149 gold medals. The quantity of wins enjoyed by the country’s athletes has surpassed expectations. The Bac Giang – Lang son expressway project officially got the technical opening on September 29 afternoon, shortening the time of traveling from Hanoi to Lang Son from 3.5 hours to about 2.5 hours compared to the old Highway 1.
